absolutely pointless conversation

in case anyone was wondering what kind of things single girls in their mid/late 20s talk about, on a random monday evening, here is a little peek. i'm not going to give a code name to the person i had this msn conversation with, but for those of you who have been following, i think you can take a wild guess.

A is for Anonymous.

A: i can't imagine you being with someone less cool. you deserve to be with a very special guy.
M: you're such a darling.
A: one that every girl will be jealous of.
M: but i start to think he might not exist.
A: well, he's probably not in Taiwan. Taiwan's got no cool men*.
M: i know, that's probably why i feel this inner force that's physically driving me out of this place.
A: it's lacking. very lacking.
M: i can't figure out where to go. i think if i leave, i ought to go somewhere weird. like go teach in mongolia. oh, my mom was funny yesterday. in the afternoon she said "you should join one fo those programs where they send people to teach in africa for 3 months." and then, we watched blood diamond at night. she turns and goes, "forget africa, you don't go."
A: hahaha, your mom is funny. although, i can't imagine you finding your very special man in africa either.
M: well, no..
A: unless Leonardo is there.
M: i was just about to say that. but really he's not my type. he smuggles, and bleeds to death.
A: not mine either. haha. ok shower time for me.
M: ok.
A: come watch.
A: wahahahahahhahaha.
A: just kidding.
A: or not.
M: do you think you could actually be bisexual?
A: is this a serious question?
M: well, only if you're bisexual.
A: yeah
A: i mean no, i'm not
A: i like a nice warm manly chest. wahahhaahhaa.
M: go shower.

*in case anyone was offended by this particular comment, Taiwan's got no hot men either.

I am offended by what you named this entry. I found this mid-night conversation absolutely meaningful, inspiring, and thought-provoking. It bonded two single girls in this lonely city.
