Random Chatter

Holy mother's. It's cold and I'm permanently hungry. Just stuffed down two DingTaiFong bean paste buns and sour spicy soup. I'm a happy girl. I also had today: rice vermicelli, hot cocoa, an order of DingTaiFong veggie dumplings, dan dan noodle. I am not pregnant and I think I've stopped growing a long time ago but I'm just SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!!! At least this means I'm gaining my appetite back, and food makes me happy again.

Today at DingTaiFong I saw an old granny in semi-rags come in and she stood by the cashier for a long time counting coins. When it seemed like she finally decided she had enough to order something, she sat down and got a plain bowl of noodles for $60NT. Another old granny in a beaded sweater walked past, flanked by her attentive grandchildren, creating a sharp contrast. Mom and I left the restaurant with our take-aways, but I went back and bought a meat bun to be sent to her table. I don't know if she still had the stomach for it, but it was just something I had to do. She must know there's still warmth in this world! Hope she wasn't vegetarian.

I am starting to have little doubts about my potential as a guitarist. I mean, little hands are supposed to be a handicap, right? I just can't reach places. Am getting blisters and supposedly callouses soon, which I think are manifest of hardwork and dedication. Anyway, I'm also starting to doubt whether my teacher is professional enough, if at all. She's only 21 and when she tells me to practice on my own in class, she plays her own stuff as if to purposely distract me. I'm currently putting up with this because she is young and stupid and what she plays actually does sound like accomplaniment to my melody....Either way, I'm progressing.

Teaching and translating are coming to a halt this month so it's finally time to venture out and get a real full-time job. I'm charged and ready to go! Sometimes it almost feels like I'm a tarot card reader by profession now. I've actually made house calls. It's time to be more structured, though, as I just recently learned how to calculate a person's personality/soul/lesson/destiny cards. Very insightful and reflective tool for self-discovery. I shall make a proper chart or form to fill in each person's details for them to take home and keep...Mmmm...LIGHTBULB!!!

This is such random chatter, writing with no literary value whatsoever. I miss sharing my little stories with that someone, so it feels good to share these little happenings here with my real and imaginary readers.
