had my first food and travel writing class today. did some self-introduction exercises and got to know everyone's background and travel experiences, which was fun. i was hoping to meet people who are also into the world and different cultures in this class, and there seem to be a few that are quite diverse. i'm not sure exactly what i want to achieve through this course, as i don't really want to be a food writer and, really, how much travel writing can you do? but we'll see. it was certainly good to be out of my room, if nothing else.
made a list of my top destinations which i hope to go through in the next 10 years as i chowed down pizza at earl's (definitely not what it used to be).
asia
tibet
mongolia
as much of china as realistically possible
vietnam
bali (i've been 3 times, but i just can't leave it out of any list)
bhutan
nepal
india
maldives (honeymoon option 1 if ever)
europe
greece (honeymoon option 2 if ever)
spain
africa
kenya
morocco
tunisia
central/south america
cuba
brazil
peru
ok, maybe in the next 15 years. need to somehow finance this.
