20 minutes ago i was asked to update the blog by a demanding someone (cough cough), and felt rather lacking in inspiration as the recent events in my life worth recording are rather off-limits to public. then as if fate should have it, S calls me and updates on her recent trip home to WA. again we realize we live parallel lives, and i'm reminded of how we met, how things have taken similar courses in our lives in recent years, and how we've seen each other through. basically, how fate has brought and kept us together.

4 years ago she put up a job posting on the internet, and i sent in my CV from the other end of the world. a scheduled 20-minute phone interview turned into an one-hour chat about how this job and move to Asia had changed her life, and how she hoped it would also change mine. as religious followers of gut feelings, she made an offer and i took it.

4 years later, after men who were out of reach (in all senses of the phrase), respective heartbreaks and collective effort to become witches, i'm in a new territory and she's moving away. then suddenly, serendipity takes place in our lives that make both of us start believing that perhaps things CAN be simple after all. maybe our surroundings have complicated things for us, when our original forms have always been genuine and true. that's why we believe so ardently in goodness and love in a world full of chaos (the noun, not your last name). hippie witches rule.

this is what S would say, "oh my god monica, you started all the 3 paragraphs with a number. and 20=4+4+4+4+4, also 20= 4 x4+4, and 4=1+1+1+1 like 11:11 which is a sign from the angels!"
