On the contrary, I found the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy to be one of the best I've seen. Two weeks before I might not have picked up on the central theme of this episode, but given what I've gone through lately, it was strangely appropriate that I saw it this afternoon. It was an episode about loss, loneliness, and time. You really have to go through it to know it. Today, I felt old.
Meredith: You blink, and he's gone.
Izzie: How did this happen? How did we end up here? Why am I alone?
Derek: I just want you to take your time. Take all the time you need. I made my choice, and I made the wrong one.
All any of us wants is more time. Time to stand up. Time to grow up. Time to let go. Time.

I had no qualms whatsoever with the theme of the premiere. The theme was appropriate. Maybe not for me, but it was for the characters.
I would go into the specific details of why I thought many of the subplots failed to organically foil this theme and the involving characters, but who cares really?
What matters is you liked the episode. It had relevance to your life, and I get it.
Keep on truckin' big mi. It really can only get better from here. At least for me, that's certainly the case with Grey's Anatomy Season 3.
Har har (just couldn't help myself with one more jab)
i can't believe they aired the wrong episode. who does that???? WHO DOES THAT????? seriously, someone should get fired for that. seriously.
i don't understand why you are pissed when we got to benefit from their mistake.
ctv is awesome. i hope they do that more often B-)
yes but think about the poor souls who missed the premiere and jumped to second episode instead (despite sucking nature of the premiere). they must have been so lost.
and in fact it was the buena vista office in LA that screwed up, sent the wrong episode to CTV instead. somehow no one picked up on it.
Viewers must've been thick NOT to realize what was going on... especially when the premiere aired following a recap episode that previewed what was going to happen in the premiere.
Besides, there were 2 channels broadcasting it. I guess I was lucky to choose the right one.
