So I just left my office, got on the increasingly packed MRT with heavily dressed people, and am on the way to dinner with my boyfriend at the little Korean eatery where he's eaten for the past 20 years. And I am typing this final entry for 2009 on my iPhone.
Work has picked up in the last few days, it's exciting watching it come together, although also frustrating at times. It's a wonderful feeling, doing something that is entirely me, something that originated from my imagination, and having a group of people help weaving it into reality, or, virtual reality. I've been trying this technology thing on for size, and so far it's pretty comfy :)
Just finished planning a get together with the girls. Almost everyone is back. It's been a transformative year for so many around me (and some not as physically around), some at work, some in love, some just became better people in general, with will and effort. I have watched and felt pride watching them. I learn everyday from their lives, and am thankful to them for being in mine.
Bro is home tomorrow and we are having a big lunch in part celebrating dad's birthday. With my big year of big changes, this family has never doubted or questioned, but always quietly supported (plus some healthily teased). They are people who made me (30 years ago, well my parents anyway), and made who I am, and after this year, I think who I am is a pretty amazing person. So kudos to them :p
Then there's love. It's been a long and turbulent ride but I've arrived at my stop. He's here, and we're going to dinner.
And with that, just as it hastily came and hazily went and yet leaving everything so crystal clear, here's signing off for 2009 :)
