notice how blogging frequency has decreased?? this is a sign i'm actually working.

weird happenings over the super long weekend:
1) mom addicted to death note, the movie
2) mom says "oooh maybe M is 007's mother...M must stand for Mother..."
3) dog kills bird and stashes it under brother's bed cover.
4) even the most decent men can be pigs
5) dad lets out birds in the kitchen and they fly around pooping
6) sushi master offers to hook me up with raw fish-loving bankers and lawyers
7) hot spring in wu-lai with the girls!! this is not exactly weird but, well, we were naked and all

started taking chinese medicine religiously in attempt to improve health and stamina even though it tastes like liquid poo. the doctor was in a most psychic-like manner; he had hardly had to feel my pulse to start mumbling a list of symptoms from nose to stomach to ovaries. dahhh. the place is a bit of a shack but everything's barcoded and computerized and he sees hundreds of people a day! i'm hoping this means the liquid poo actually works.

feeling quite happy with new job despite constant shocks at lack of structure and messy politics. determined to keep it simple and just get things done and store opened. also feeling quite peaceful from the inside out, like i'm finally getting a clearer picture of everything and settling down a bit more. i've said it in the past but lately i've really felt that maybe this big turn of events in my life has actually benefitted me more than I could ever imagine, after the tears dried and hurt subsided. i had to go through this.

so, generally happy and content, and ready for the challenges ahead. hello monday!
